North 5 Street Revitalization Project Inc
We have worked with the North 5th Street Revitalization Project off and on for close to five years now and have been excited to see how they are progressing towards creating an independent nonprofit corporation to manage their revitalization efforts. This past Spring, we helped orient new board members to the workings of a separately constituted nonprofit corporation and explained the legal and fiduciary roles for board members of a new community development corporation. We also rewrote their bylaws to conform to the correct form for a new CDC. Olney is the state’s most ethnically diverse zip code, and the corridor is a veritable United Nations of small business owners working along the mile and a half long district. Their food tours are bringing more and more visitors to the district, which is looking up.
