Arch Street Meeting House Pew Discovery Grant

Arch Street Meeting House Preservation Trust, Philadelphia PA

We are part of a team of excellent consultants helping the Arch Street Meeting House at 4th and Arch revise its interpretive practices. Located in an 1804 meetinghouse, it is an active place of worship in the midst of Philadelphia’s Historic District just two blocks from the Liberty Bell. This Discovery Grant from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage will permit the staff to pilot and refine interpretive methods to attract more visitors and students. We are working with an Advisory Committee to help the staff identify interpretive projects to test such as wayfinding, exterior and interior signage, introductory and specialized tours and routes, self-guide brochures and new school programs. Work will continue throughout the spring and summer.
